Below are contracted trouble shooting projects.  We were able to determine the location of the cable fault and direct the contractor through the repair.

STEP-1 Our test methods produced a warm spot at the cable break in a 30 year old ceiling heat installation in rural Colorado.

STEP-2  The electrical contractor was able to repair the break in the cable.

STEP-3 The heat cable was repaired and tested as shown .  STEP-4 Drywall contractor repaired and finished ceiling to homeowner satisfaction.

This is just some of the equipment required to find a cable fault under a variety of field conditions.  Job experience is the other tool which cannot be photographed.

This homeowner only lost one tile instead of the whole floor.  We were able to find the problem in the cable system. The tile contractor was able to make the repair and replace the tile.  At left is exposed repair at right is operational test with IR Imaging
